Don Triner is currently serves as a member of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) Board of Directors and the ISPI Potomac Chapter is honored to have Don as a member.
As a member of ISPI's Board, and with over 25 years of performance experience in the military, federal, and private sectors, Don brings a unique and proven executive skill set to help lead ISPI forward as the premiere performance organization.
Don currently serves as the Vice President, Performance Operations for Proofpoint Systems. Before joining Proofpoint, he was a Senior Executive Service member with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) where he served as the Director, Operations Coordination Division; Acting Director, National Operations Center: and Director, Current Operations, During an exemplary career as a Coast Guard officer, he served in numerous command roles, taught at Training Center Yorktown and the US Coast Guard Academy, served as the head of assessment at the CG Leadership Development Center, and was the Director of CC Recruit Training. He retired as a Captain.
Don is well published in the journals of our field, including PIQ, PI, HRD Quarterly, and the International Journal of Education Reform, collaborating with many notable ISPI members. He has led numerous complex performance analyses in multiple domains — military, public and private sector, and not-for-profit.
