Learning through Electronic
Performance Support (EPS)
About the Program
This program will discuss and demonstrate a unique approach enabling real-time performance support for accomplishing work in a computer-based, software environment. The approach results in easily accessed, created, deployable, maintainable and affordable solution sets. The session will focus on instant access, rapid creation, storage, organization, deployment and update to performance support and learning materials and use of collaborative techniques both on-the-job and during discrete learning events. Additionally, there will be a handout with two sample survey instruments to evaluate business operations effectiveness of an EPS solution. This blended learning/collaborative/support approach is critical to helping people master technology and successfully produce the outcomes required by their job, and results in measurable return including:
More about the Program*
Purpose: To learn about how Electronic Performance Support can optimize operational effectiveness in a software application environment.
Objectives: By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:
David Miller has over 20 years of experience in Electronic Performance Support, currently with Epilogue Systems, and also working extensively with Exemplary Performance, RWD Technologies, and Booz Allen Hamilton. He helps organizations achieve user proficiency in IT environments with a unique learning and support approach that results in meeting and exceeding business objectives and goals, by continuously improving workforce effectiveness. The challenges he consistently faces and solves are where people are expected to use technology in the workplace without the proper support that is provided in real-time. This includes people new to a job as well as experts in environments with rapidly changing circumstances whether in the tools they use, their processes or tasks, or the rules they are to follow when doing their work. David is a retired U.S. Navy Commander, Surface Warfare, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with post-graduate degrees at the Naval War College and the Naval Postgraduate School.
